Mr. Robert Joseph Morrison passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 17, 2019. He was 74 years of age.

Bob was born in Buffalo, New York on April 15, 1944. He was a graduate of Clarence High School and Colorado College where he obtained his BA in Economics.
Art was at the center of Bob's life. A seasoned collector of contemporary art and photography, Bob brought this experience into the finance and philanthropic arenas.
He was active in many organizations which included serving on the Board of Governors, The Print Center, Philadelphia, PA,, Strategic consultant and writer producer for The Project Group with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and authored "The Fine Art of Tangible Assets". He developed and organized a symposium with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and U.S. Trust in 2008 where he Invited 16 international professionals from finance, law, the arts and philanthropy to discuss how collectors can turn their collections into philanthropic capital.
Bob organized a symposium at The FLAG Art Foundation with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors to discuss how global economic issues have challenged the contemporary art world.
He developed and curated an exhibition of 52 photographs from the environmental photographs by Hussain Aga Khan. Bob created a digital summer camp to enable today's youth to develop an appreciation and basic understanding of environmental and ecological issues through digital photography.
Bob was a member and active with The William Way Community Center.
Prior to retirement, Bob was accomplished in the marketing and advertising industry and successfully developed Tastycake's well known promotion and jingle "Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a tasty cake."
In his spare time he enjoyed spending time relaxing with friends at the Lombard Swim Club and yearly vacations to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, buying and selling pieces at Freeman's Auction House, ski trips, walking, keeping active and healthy.
Bob is the loving son of the late Edgar and Emily Morrison of Buffalo,NY., loving brother Ronald C. (Debra) Uncle of Brian Morrison (Bianca) Gatto and Kathryn (James) Paolini. Dear great-uncle of Roman and Mia Paolini; he is also survived by many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday afternoon, March 23rd from 2 to 5 P.M. at Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home, Inc., 2232-40 S.Broad Street (at Wolf Street), Philadelphia
We encourage everyone to attend his Life Celebration Service Saturday 5 PM at the funeral home - during this special service of remembrance, there will be an opportunity to share your thoughts, stories and memories of Bob.
There will be ample parking available in our lot, reserved on our street and in the Rota lot adjacent to the 7-11. We are easily accessible by the Snyder Avenue stop of the Broad Street Subway and walking 2 blocks south on the west side of Broad Street.
